Conference audience
The IAWP Washington state chapter is encouraging teams of workforce development executive leaders, managers and staff to attend the 2019 conference, including:
Presentation Length and Program Tracks
All presentations will be 75 minutes in length. Presentations should address one of the following program tracks:

Proposal review criteria and selection process
All session proposals will initially be reviewed and scored by a team of volunteer reviewers who will rate each proposal according to the following criteria:
Those with the top scores in each track will move on to a second review by Conference Executive Committee members who will select presenters and sessions for the final program.
Presenter registration discount
All conference presenters must register for the conference if they plan to attend beyond their own presentation slot. Presenters will receive the following registration discounts:

Conference audience

- Workforce professionals in the public, private and non-profit sectors providing employment services, unemployment insurance benefits, labor market information, training, IT, legislative, financial assistance, communications and/or other services related to the workforce needs of job seekers and employers in Washington state.
- Executive leaders, managers and staff from agencies and organizations such as Employment Security Department, Labor & Industries, Department of Corrections, Department of Social and Health Services, workforce development councils, economic development councils
- Corporate and organizational HR professionals
- Career counseling professionals in K-12, technical, vocational and higher ed teaching & learning organizations

- Enhancing workforce services through strategic alliances and partnerships
- Connecting job seekers and employers
- Employer programs and business service models
- Personal professional development

- How well the proposed session meets the program track objectives.
- Clear and concise presentation description.
- Presenter(s)’ qualifications and experience.
- Expected audience interest in the proposed content.
- Session format and level of audience engagement.

Presenter registration discount
All conference presenters must register for the conference if they plan to attend beyond their own presentation slot. Presenters will receive the following registration discounts:
- Full-conference registration discount - $120 per person
- One-day registration discount – $70
- If you choose to present only (not participate in the rest of the conference) - $0
How to submit your conference presentation proposal
To complete the submission form, have the following information available:
- Name, school/organization, title, email address, phone number and bio (300 word maximum) for all presenters.
- Session title and description (500 word maximum)
- Preferred session format (lecture, panel with moderator, attendee participation, town hall) and room set up
